Hey, Curvee Sisters! Last week, I went live on Facebook and Instagram to give my followers tips on how to empower themselves in 2019 and beyond. To date, it is one of my most viewed live videos on Facebook! I decided to turn the live video into a full blog post that includes 6 ways on how to Empower Yourself in 2019 & Beyond!

Sounds crazy, right? I know! But that's why this one is so important. We give so much of ourselves to our roles as moms, sisters, wives, employees, employers, etc. that we forget to take time out for ourselves selfishly. You deserve it, sis! Take 10-15 minutes a day to do absolutely nothing, your spirit will thank me later :)
2. Embrace Change
It's human nature to be apprehensive towards sudden change in any aspect of our lives - its human nature. But change isn't always negative. Often times change is for the betterment of our lives, careers, and the people around us. If we change our mindsets be open to change the easier it'll be to embrace it and not have it affect our lives negatively.
3. Create A Gratitude List
Creating a gratitude list will change your entire life! I've started my gratitude list January 1st, 2019 and 22 days in I can see a major in my attitude in the morning and the peace I'm getting I get when I sleep at night. Write down 2-3 things a day that you're grateful. Nothing you write down is too big or small.
4. Stand Firm in Your Opinions
In the times IG philosophers and FB scholars who are overly opinionated and undereducated, oftentimes we don't stand firm in what we believe out of fear of being dragged by internet trolls. But that's okay! Stand firm in what you believe no matter how others perceive your truth!
5. Avoid Becoming Overwhelmed
Be careful not to carry the weight of the world on your shoulders. Focus on what you can affect, and trust that other people will take care of the issues that matter to them—we’re all in this together. Also, take time to look at the positive outcomes from challenging situations, such as the way adversity can bring people together to make a difference. Sometimes our “default” is to focus on the negative things. In reality, billions of positive things are happening at every moment. - Excerpt from Yoga International

If you have any tips to add to the list, leave them in the comments! Thanks for reading < 3
