Hey Babes, I'm back from Ghana!!!! I missed you all like crazy but I definitely needed the break. On my trip I was able to detox from personal life, the stress of work, blogging, and maintaining several social media accounts. I meditated A LOT,  danced apologetically (video coming soon), talked with my ancestors and did some "soul searching". I can honestly say this trip to the motherland was worth every penny. There's something about the West African sun that ignites your soul. I pray that everyone reading this post experiences it at least once in your lifetime.

One night, I scrolling through the tons of videos and pictures I took that day and I realized I smiled in every picture I took and the people in the photos with me smiled even harder. Seeing the joy in the smiles made my body feel like it was on fire with joy. The joy that transcends through these photos is indescribable. Through smiles our energies connected. Language wasn't a burden, age or culture didn't matter, just moments of pure joy captured between strangers on an iPhone.

From this moment going forward I vow to smile more. I've got to start appreciating every moment in my life for what it is and not dwell on what it isn't. Through good and bad times, I'll smile because life is a gift and I'm grateful for the one I have. Maybe my purpose in this life is to make others smile, to bring joy into their lives and environment.
