Last month, I hosted Avenue's Fall Fash Bash in Richmond, VA! During the event, we celebrated style, confidence, & curves. Avenue is one of the first clothing brands that offered stylish and well-made clothes exclusively for plus size women. So they know how to curate clothing for our curves! I remember going to Avenue as a child with my mom and godmother as they shopped for dresses, shoes, and everything else that Avenue offered. Having my mom attend #FashBash with me not only felt nostalgic but it made me realize my childhood manifestations are coming true right before my eyes.
This Fall's #FashBash Fashion Show was the most diverse fashion shows I'd ever seen. The models were women of all shapes, sizes, ethnicities, and two of the models were disabled. Yet, they all walked the runway with their confidence leading them. They were the #YourConfidenceIsShowing campaign personified! Click here to see more pictures from the runway.
After the show, I chatted with customers about the upcoming Fall trends and how they could stay on trend while remaining within their personal style comfort zone. Some of the RVA fashionistas allowed me to style them in Avenue's new athleisure wear and winter outerwear. And of course, I got a chance to shop. I grabbed these embroidered jeans and a super cute pair of boots (btw their boots are currently on sale BOGO 75%)!
